All applicants must apply through the American Medical College Application Service (AMCAS.) AMCAS applications can be obtained via the World Wide Web at www.aamc.org .

The deadline to submit this application is October 15.

When WCMC receives your verified application from AMCAS, we send you an e-mail with instructions on how to access our Supplemental Application Form (SAF) on the web. The application fee is US$75.00. To make sure you receive e-mails from our office, please add wcmc-admissions@med.cornell.edu to your address book or contact list. If your mailbox does not have an address book or contact list, please contact your Internet Service Provider's tech support and ask how they can make sure email from wcmc-admissions@med.cornell.edu makes it into your mailbox. Also, remember to check for clutter in your mailbox periodically to make sure it does not become full and starts rejecting new messages.

Please note that if you try to access our secondary application without having received our instructional e-mail, it means your application has not been verified and the site will not accept your log in.

We require letters of evaluation as follows:

• If your college has a preprofessional advisory committee, you must either submit a letter from this committee, or inform WCMC in writing why you cannot obtain a committee letter.
  
  
• If your college does not have such a committee, we require two letters of evaluation from persons who know you well and can discuss your capabilities, accomplishments, and character. A teacher, whether at the undergraduate or graduate level, should be one who has worked with you personally.
  
  
• If you have had substantial research, work, clinical or service experience, you should submit a letter from your supervisor in that experience.

WCMC requires applicants to submit scores from the Medical College Admission Test (MCAT). Information about the MCAT may be obtained:

The August 2006 MCAT administration was the last to employ a paper version of the test. Beginning in January 2007, all MCAT administrations have been computerized and the test will be offered about 22 times per year. For each entering class, we will accept scores from tests offered up to September of the calendar year in which you apply.

Scores should not be older than 3 years at time of application.

All supplemental materials (SAF, MCAT scores and letters of evaluation) must be received by November 15.

The Tri-Institutional MD/PhD program has a separate application process and different deadlines.
