Chenjian Li is an alumnus of Beijing University and Peking Union Medical College. He received his Ph.D. in Molecular Neurobiology, at Purdue University in 1997. Subsequently he started doing research at Rockefeller University progressing from a Postdoctoral Fellow to a Research Scientist. In April of 2003 Chenjian Li came to Weill Medical College of Cornell University where he directs a lab to investigate the Molecular Genetics of Neurobiology & Neurological Diseases. The goal of the lab is to develop new molecular genetic tools to understand the pathophysiology of neurodegenerative diseases, and normal functions of the affected brain regions at molecular, cellular and circuitry levels.
